Taking the role of data protection officer for a school, trust or other institution represents a significant commitment in time and the need to gather expertise. As a DPO you’ll be expected to advise on breaches, subject access requests and assist with data protection impact assessments. You are also required to act independently at times and support data subjects with complaints about the data controller.
The DPO may not have any conflicts of interest, meaning that they should not be involved in making decisions about data processing and yet they must also have a senior role in the organisation. Finding a person who can meet these requirements can be challenging.
We offer range of services to support customers ranging from an ad hoc helpdesk through to a fully outsourced data protection officer meeting all the statutory requirements.

There are some times when you just need a second opinion on GDPR. At other times a question come up that outside your normal scope. Wouldn’t it be great to have somewhere you can call in that situation to get advice.
The GDPR Sentry Helpdesk provides just that service. You can engage with one of our data protection team who will review your issue and provide you with advise about your specific situation.
This service is charged based on the amount of time required to provide the support (minimum 1 hour) and we will need to make payment arrangements upfront.
The advice will be backed up by an email response including where necessary the source of the information provided.
