GDPR Foundation Training

Overview

This is our most popular course. Designed for those people who are going to have administration responsibility for data protection within your organisation. The objective of course is to give people both the tools and knowledge to deal with day to day data protection tasks and questions.

It’s a course of two halves. The first half looks at the legislation itself, picks up the terminology that may be thrown around and also how the legislation translates into rights and responsibilities.

The second half focuses on the requirements of a management system of GDPr compliance with a particular focus on subject access requests and data breaches.

DPO Training Programme

Use GDPR Sentry services to help get your projects moving

Overview

This course is designed for someone is taking main responsibility for GDPR within an organisation. That may be as the full data protection officer or it may be as data protection lead.

The course provides the baseline of information and practical experience needed to take up the role. The legislation is explored in depth with time to discuss the application to the specifics of the establishment. This is considered in terms of the rights of data subjects feed into the actions than processes that need to be set up.

The psychology of data breaches is reviewed to support the early identification of risk factors and the development of a culture of positive actions rather than negative ‘enforcement’. Finally the approach to data protection impact assessments is covered with the consideration of risk and mitigation management.

After the course a series of directed study task, especially focused on the detail of the legislation in preparation for the exam which is sat remotely in an open book fashion.
